Our Story

Inbound CMOs was created based on a CRAZY idea that startup founders and their teams do deserve to sleep at night.

Over the years we worked with dozens of startup founders and investors, and we realised they all have the same problems when it comes to growing their startups.  Founders think of marketing as advertising, sales as the only way to grow, and customer service as a reactionary measure.

So they spend a lot of money on one-off campaigns or agency services, and they don’t connect the dots or see the big picture. In other words, they simply don’t have an Inbound Engine, nor do they have the right skilled talent on their teams to drive it.

Over time, they get overwhelmed by the amount of work that needs to be done and they lose track of the numbers. What’s worse, they can’t explain their growth trajectory to their investors because it's too unpredictable.

As Inbound CMOs, we want to help founders execute their vision, gain clarity on their company’s growth and develop their teams’ talent across the marketing, sales, and customer service spectrums.

I co-founded Inbound CMOs out of a pure passion to help Startups build Inbound Engines. I’ve worked with Startups for over a decade and it always baffled me how similar the mistakes are when it comes to getting synced operations across Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service.

On December 2018 I decided to leave everything behind and make it my goal to help Founders build topnotch Inbound Engines that generate leads and revenues, retain happy customers, and decrease churn.

Justin Lee

7+ years of experience leading growth teams for startups and corporations.

As a 2x startup founder myself, I’ve had my fair share of sleepless nights and crippling anxiety due to the sheer amount of pressure to grow. I realized that the scaling problems most founders face are due to a lack of expertise in driving predictable growth. Having plied my trade in companies that has nailed the art & science of building Inbound Engines, I’m now taking that expertise to help startups grow better.

I was most recently the head of marketing for HubSpot (NYSE: HUBS) for SEA & India, before moving to the US headquarters in Boston to work with HubSpot’s founder on productizing emerging technology.
